About The Artist

Teaching a mosaic class

Kasha Banko is an Arizona artist who specializes in clay and mosaics. In her central Phoenix studio, she handcrafts clay mosaic tiles and designs public art as well as a variety of artistic venues. She has three grown children - one of whom is a talented artist herself, Annika Banko. Kasha has been a working artist all her life in various mediums. She is a painter, weaver, and jewelry-maker, but has been focusing the majority of her time and energy into clay and mosaic art for the last ten years. Kasha is well known for her beautiful wall mosaics and has been selected as Artist in Residence by numerous schools valleywide (click on mosaic murals for a peek!). She supports community involvement in the Arts and offers workshops both at the Desert Botanical Gardens and in her own private studio. A list of her products includes: mirrors, flower pots, coffee tables, bird baths, chimineas, backsplashes, and stepping stones.
